Rain or shine and, with or without rainbow or wind and no excuses whatsoever: The Iranian-American Community of Greater New York, following its rich tradition of celebrating the last day of Nowruz Holidays, will once again congregate by the hundreds at Bear Mountain State Park from Dawn to Dusk on Sunday April 4, to enjoy Sizdah Bedar picnic.
Specifically, the Horseshoe Courtyard and the Hillside between this open Building and the Lakefront at the Park is the location where many families would arrive as early as 8:00 am to secure the site and as many picnic tables for this event, since there is no prior reservation and it is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please remain cognizant of the Park rules and regulations, including parking fees per car and a probable nominal fee to cover the garbage pickup and gratuities.
