Mehregan is a Zoroastrian and Persian festival celebrated to honor the yazata Mithra (Persian: Mehr), which is responsible for friendship, affection and love. It is also widely referred to as the Persian Festival of Autumn.
Every year in October, "Iranian Community of Manitoba" celebrates the friendship and affection in the community in a party.
The event includes live music, poetry, cultural presentation and a traditional Iranian light supper. We finish the night with a dance party.
