Parivash Rohani of Auburn, Maine will be the featured speaker at a ‘fireside’ chat hosted by area Bahá’ís at the Windsor Public Library on Sunday, May 31. Her topic is "Glimpses of Iran”. She will narrate a Power Point presentation of photos of Iran and Iranian art.
Mrs. Rohani, will be talking about her recent trip to Iran. During her presentation, she will share her thoughts and feelings and give the audience an idea of how Iran today is different from the Iran of her childhood. Mrs. Rohani will also discuss the larger issue of human rights and the ongoing persecution of individuals who practice the Bahá’í religion. She will discuss her visit with one of the Yaran and other prisoners as well as their family members. She will also talk about her attempted visit to the site of the House of the Bab and other Holy places. Mrs. Rohani has beautiful photographs of the sites she visited and the people she met in Iran that she will share as part of a slide show.
