Parsi’s detailed insider account of the Obama administration’s nuclear deal with Iran is a story about “how to make peace,” and it’s one that should serve as a model for future crisis resolutions. Parsi interviewed key players on all sides, including Iran's Foreign Minister Javad Zarif and Secretary of State John Kerry. He lays out what each side felt it had to lose, reveals how chillingly close we came to war, and presents the agreement as a major success that both averted the threat of war with Iran and prevented the possibility of an Iranian nuclear bomb. Parsi, founder and president of the National Iranian American Council and a former faculty member at Johns Hopkins and Georgetown Universities, is also the author of A Single Roll of the Dice, selected by Foreign Affairs as the Best Book of 2012 on the Middle East.
