On Friday, April 26, John Curtis, Keeper of Special Middle East Projects at the British Museum, will give a keynote address for a symposium examining the legacy of Cyrus the Great throughout history and today, timed to coincide with The Cyrus Cylinder and Ancient Persia exhibition. The symposium will continue on Saturday with short talks, discussion with the audience and a roundtable conversation among scholars who will explore Cyrus, his achievements and his human rights legacy in the context of the ancient world, America’s founding fathers, and the 21st century. The symposium is supported in part through a generous gift of the Foundation for Iranian Studies.
