The Iranian New Year, Norooz, is a time of year to celebrate family, friends and the rebirth of nature. It’s also a time for spring cleaning ‘khouneh tekouni’ and, according to some, setting the tone for the year ahead. Last year, for the first time, hundreds of Iranian Americans from across the nation came together to give back all in the spirit of Norooz.
In hopes of keeping this tradition alive, NIAC is proud to announce the 2nd Annual National Iranian American Day of Service on Saturday, March 3.
Not only will this allow us to share a piece of our rich culture with our American friends and neighbors, but it will allow us to make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
