This exhibit is a collection of Mehdi Saeedi's works through over 14 years of his professional efforts demonstrating his approach to figurative calligraphy and design. Mehdi Saeedi's work synthesizes the contemporary world of graphic design and the traditional Iranian arts of calligraphy and illustration. Through Saeedi we encounter an extraordinary artist who has mastered the craft of putting to excellent use the most recent achievements in graphic design, but also following the historical developments in traditional Iranian calligraphy- from the past into the present- with intelligence and passion- adopting its most important decorative and compositional element throughout his artwork.
