Renowned Iranian American actress and director Mary Apick has been a cultural icon in the Iranian and Iranian American artistic community for nearly three decades.
Apick´s most recent project, Beneath the Veil, is a play that chronicles a group of very different women—all bound together, for better or worse, by the traditional Muslim head piece. Written by Apick and Ginger Perkins, Beneath the Veil attempts to tackle the schism that often exists between secular and political ideologies.
