Dr. Touraj Daryaee is a professor of Iranian history as University of California, Irvine, and one of the most well-informed scholars on Pre-Islamic Persia.
At RCPS, we think much misinformation and disinformation is circulating within Iran and among Iranians in the diaspora, which is what has prompted us to invite Dr. Daryaee to set the record straight on such things as the state of archeological preservation of Iran’s pre-Islamic heritage, particularly monuments such as the Persepolis and Pasargadae, in relation to policies that may or may not be designed deliberately to further erase or marginalize Iran’s pre-Islamic past.
