Dr. Christopher Thornton of National Geographic has worked at the ancient site of Jiroft near Kerman in southeastern Iran and has studied early metallurgical technologies of ancient Iran. In this talk, he will be giving an overview of his research as well as discussing his experiences as an American archaeologist living and working in Iran.
