“Children’s Song Writer” presents the life and literary and cultural efforts and accomplishments of Abbas Yamini Sharif. His historical role is such that his life story is in fact a review of the history of the children’s literature and education in Iran from the beginning of 20th century.
In making of this documentary, parts of Abbas Yamini Sharif’s childhood have been enacted and interviews, memories and comments of children’s literature’s experts, friends and acquaintances of Abbas Yamini Sharif and his family’s rich archives have been used. Songs and music from his poetry create an attractive and jubilant atmosphere throughout the film.
