The race will be held on Sunday, June 5, at Montgomery College Track and Field, N Campus Dr, Rockville, MD 20850.
During a relay race, members of a team take turns running with a baton in the first. Each runner must hand off the baton to the next runner within a certain zone. All age groups are invited to participate. If you don't have a team yet, sign up as an individual and arrive at 10:00 AM. The relay admins will arrange a team for you.
Solo Runners
8 and under: This event is a 1/8 mile run on the track and runners race individually.
9 to 12: This event is a 1/4 mile run around the football field and runners race individually.
Relay Runners
13 and above: This event consists of teams of four runners, each running 1/4 mile around the football field in a relay format.
The main purpose of the race is to raise money and support Children of Persia's charitable programs and projects for children in Iran while promoting exercise and physical activity in our community. Bring your team spirit to the field, get some exercise and enjoy the company of other runners. The first three teams with the fastest finishing time will win special prizes.
