Dr. Touraj Daryaee, the world's leading historian on Sasanian Iran will be giving a talk entitled "Sasanian Iran: The Last Near Eastern Empire of Antiquity" on the history of the pre-Islamic Sasanian Dynasty as a guest of the GMU Iranian Studies Group!
Dr. Daryaee is is the Howard C. Baskerville Professor in the History of Iran and the Persianate World and the Associate Director of the Dr. Samuel M. Jordan Center for Persian Studies and Culture at the UC Irvine.
