From decorated war hero to tortured prisoner, local author, Yadi Sharifirad, shares his gripping story in his autobiography, The Flight of the Patriot. Yadi Sharifirad flew as a fighter pilot for his home country, Iran, until he was wrongly accused as a spy and tortured before escaping from Iran to Canada.
This evening Books to Cooks celebrates The Flight of the Patriot with a booklaunch with Yadi Sharifirad, refreshments and tastes of Persian food. Signed copies of The Flight of the Patriot will be available for purchase.
