Abstract:
In this talk, we are going to take a brief look at the evolution of the Persian language during time in its socio-cultural context. The time period includes old, middle and modern Persian with a focus on the modern time. We will closely look at the social and cultural factors that affected our and henceforth triggered change. We will also talk about the language planning and policy. Some of those policies have been adopted by different language academies in Iran to empower scientific terminology needed to meet the recent fast technological advances
