We are fortunate to have Professor Christoph Emmrich, professor of South Asian Buddhism of the Center for the study of Religon at University of Toronto to address our community on the subject "The Buddha in the Flame: The Interaction of Buddhist and Zoroastrian Faith".
Professor Emmrich holds a 2004 PhD in Indology from Heidelberg University.He has been a postdoctoral research fellow at Heidelberg in a collaborative project on "Life-cycle Rituals in Nepal," and has served as Wissenschaftlicher (scientific) Assistant in the Department of Classical Indology at Heidelberg.
