First Films will be the debut of three short films by emerging Iranian filmmakers. They will be showing different layers of Iranian life; illustrating an artistic way of life, a typical, everyday life, and a life involved in politics. They will be about twenty minutes each, and will be playing throughout the night; the program will restart every hour. All of the films will have English subtitles. Queen Gallery is bringing these... contemporary Iranian films that have been forced underground to light for the first time at Scotia Bank’s Nuit Blanche 2010. This group exhibition is important for the on-going support of freedom of expression, here, and internationally. Queen Gallery is a staunch supporter of artistic freedom and human rights.
