By: Alireza (Alex) Ghorbani-Delvand
Alireza was born and raised in Rasht-Iran. In 1993 he received his degree in economics from Shahid Beheshti (Melli) University – Tehran, and worked for some large private companies as senior financial and marketing manager, and was a key contributor to their success in winning many awards including the Exemplary Exporter of Iran.In year 2000 he was accepted as a full member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and received his internationally recognized MCIM designation. In March 2002 he landed to Canada as an immigrant and while worked hard for survival, as a new comer, he continued his education in Marketing. Right after graduation, he joined an agency of the Co-operators, the largest 100% Canadian multi line insurance company, and served the communities as a “Sales and Service Associate” and an “Associate Agent” for a few years.
When the Co-operators returned to Downtown Toronto after many years, he was the first agent hired for that challenging market. His hard work and enthusiasm have been the key factors to his success, however his clients describe him as a caring and accurate agent who focuses on his clients needs and enjoys educating them about insurance. He is a member of Advocis; the Financial Advisors Association of Canada, and is currently working on his CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation.
Further to Dr. Mohajer’s presentation about Emergency Management and Business Continuity, he is going to share some information about the role of insurance in business continuation. This presentation will mainly focus on two points:
1) Business insurance and how to protect the business properties against unwanted disasters.
2) Life insurance and its role to protect the success of a business and how to save a business in case of the death or disability of an owner/Partner.
