ISU invites you to its first event in year 2009. Executive board of ISU will be present to talk about the initiatives underway in the Winter session. We will wrap up the meeting with a controversial movie "The Birthday". There will be a draw in which FREE Therapy Session tickets will be given away to couple of participants.

"The Birthday":
Daisy Mohr and Negin Kianfar offer an insightful look into the legal and emotional implications of transsexual operations in Iran. Although homosexuality is a crime in Iran, it is not illegal to undergo a sex change procedure. The main character in this film is a male-to-female transsexual who has to come to terms with her new female identity in a cultural and social context as well as a political and religious context as she now has to wear the hijab in accordance with Iranian law.
