Synopsis:
...Two young rural men who work at the animal’s market in Tehran have only 24 hours to take a large cow from downtown to the northern part of the city. Their job and future are at stake. The spectators follow their obligatory journey with the rope which is tied around the cow. Karkhani very cinematically describes the contrast which exists between the south and the north of a metropolis.
About the director:

He entered the photography of cinema through “Hoor in Fire” for which he received the prize for the best photo at the Fajr International Film Festival. Director View:
I made this film because of my love and loyalty to the cinema. It is a multi-layered film. I hope that the spectators and the serious cinema critics are able to understand the various layers. This film is the story of the life and efforts of lonely people who work under difficult conditions which they don’t deserve; people who are holding on to a loose rope in their life and are pulling it in every direction for fear of losing the rope along with their small dreams.
