Bio: Mary Yoshinari is a Ph. D. candidate in the Department of History at the University of Toronto. The primary focus of her dissertation is Iranian economic history within domestic and global contexts during the first half of the twentieth century. In August 2014, she presented a paper on these themes at the 10th Biennial Iranian Studies Conference in Montreal, after conducting archival research in Tehran, Ankara, and Belgrade. Previously, she was a guest researcher at the University of Tehran, funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
