Phoenix Cultural Centre is happy to announce its first Comic Films Festival in Toronto which proudly will host some of the most important comedy figures such as Hamid Farrokhnezhad, Reza Attaran, Houman Seyedi, Mani Haghighi and Tina Pakravan.
The festival’s lineup includes a competition section featuring 8 films. The first line-up announcement for the festival includes some of the most acclaimed films of the year, such as , Loone Zanbour (Pejman Jamshidi and Mohsen Kiai) and Getting Even (Hamid Farrokhnezhad, Saber Abar). We are also very proud to present for the first time in the world Texas and Tehran-Los Angeles both with a stellar cast and highly anticipated.
The program also includes a mini-retrospective of Reza Attaran’s career with a free screening of some of his most admired works followed by Q&A with the director and a directing workshop supervised by the highly Internationally acclaimed Iranian filmmaker, Mani Haghighi.
