Darya Dadvar - born in Iran, living in Paris.
Darya grew up in an artistic environment in Iran. Her mother is a singer and director of Marionette theatre. In June 1999 she obtained her "Diplome d'Etude Musical" (Gold Medal) in voice. She finished her musical education in Toulouse /France in the year 2000 and obtained a first class. She also finished her Master Degree in Art at “Ecole des Beaux-Arts” of Toulouse/France.
Darya, a National Conservatory graduate, who was already a remarkable soprano soloist and "World Music" singer, very realized soon that she has to create her own music. Her work is a blend of many different languages and musical styles. She mixes them with such delicacy, that one never notices the transition between them.
Darya’s unique musical and dramatic talent in arranging Persian folk songs with some Jazz and Blues elements, places her among top Iranian "World Music" Artists.
