Massoud Memar Born in Iran (1954) is a cineaste, photographer, journalist and poet. Since 1994 he lives in the Netherlands. He has studied at the Film Academy in Paris (1977).In Teheran he criticized a number of newspapers and magazines. He made films in Iran, Paris and Holland. For his photographs he was rewarded both in Iran and Holland. Memar’s films are characterized by a mixture of documentary and poetry. For the short movie “Never Again” he received the “Gouden EI” (Golden Egg) in the section art video, 5th Gorcum Film Festival 2002.
