Flames and flowers are samples of my experiments in the past few years in shaping a personal world in utopian and apocalyptic landscapes. Scenes and narratives of these works come together, or better say find greater completion, through technical improvisation and with no intermediary between the mind and the subject surface.
However, in this process I came to realize that approaching landscape painting and the works which find inspiration in the tradition of landscape painting, and their rich and continuous background, is like playing with fire, with as much wonder, delight and thrill.
