The ECO Workshop on Pharmacovigilance will be held at Tehran on 10-12 November, 2008. Ministry of Health and Medical Education of the Islamic Republic of Iran will support the workshop and provide hospitality for the participants.
The three days technical workshop is aimed at drug safety monitoring in the region, promoting pharmacovigilance activities and collecting information on the role of the drug regulatory authorities, hospitals, general practitioner, pharmacists, nurses, pharmaceutical manufacturers, etc. Designing Yellow Card Form, ADR reporting and evaluation, Causality Determination and assessment, and literature review for ADR information would be other topics in the programme as well. Moreover, the participating member states will highlight the potential available in their respective countries and plans and activities of the Iranian Pharmacovigilance Center will also to be presented. Field visit to the site would be arranged for the participants as well.
It is expected that two official/ expert from each ECO member state would participate in the workshop.
