The six exhibitions held at the complex will run until Feb. 16, 2009, (20th of the Islamic month of Safar) when Muslims mourn the 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hossein (PBUH).
Sa'adabad's Museum of Anthropology displays objects used in mourning ceremonies and its Handicrafts Museum exhibits wooden, metal, silver, golden and copper handicrafts.
The Museum of Nations offers a collection of photographs showing mourning ceremonies held in different cities across Iran, press tv reported.
The complex has also exhibited Ashura-themed paintings and the religious paintings of celebrated Iranian artist Mahmoud Farshchian.
Visitors can watch live Passion Play performances and Shahram Assadi's Ashura inspired film Fateful Day.
