Brian Appleton first went to Iran summer of 1966 at age 16. He lived in Iran from 1974 to 1979 witnessing before, during and 5 months after revolution during which he was briefly taken hostage. His love for Iran runs deep. In addition to his first book, his second book is in production and he has written numerous articles, interviews of Iranian expats and poetry in Iranian.com, Payvand News, Irandokht, Persian Mirror, CASMII, Persian Heritage Magazine, Payam Javan, Pekhvak of Persia and Zan Magazine.
