Attorney Mahsa Khanbabai will speak at an Instant Issues Brown Bag Lunch event on The Human Face of the Travel Ban on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at noon in the Community Room, The MassLive Building at 1350 Main Street, in downtown Springfield.
A longtime friend and former member of the World Affairs Council, Attorney Mahsa Khanbabai has dedicated her legal career to immigration and naturalization issues, representing individual, nonprofit, educational and business clients. She assists clients with employment visas, asylum cases, family petitions, and citizenship applications, as well as other immigration related matters. She is vice chair of the New England chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Attorney Khanbabai received international attention recently due to the case of her client Maziar Hashemi, an American citizen in need of a bone marrow transplant from his brother, who was initially denied a visa to travel from Iran. She is representing other clients in similar situations.
