A MOVING MEDITATION
Inspired by the poetry and paintings of Iranian artist and Sufi spiritualist Sohrab Sepehri, Mamak Khadem offers bliss through her newest CD, An Eyelet to Color, and tour. Saying this project “has gone places we did not expect,” she ponders a message of peace and understanding through what is most sacred in the natural world as expressed in the canon of Persian culture. The result is a seamless tapestry ultimately woven around the theme of love.
