Performing for the first time in Seattle in support of the Seattle Iranian Festival 2011, Iranian born vocalist, Shahrzad, has established herself as a visionary Persian female singer possessing a tender vocal style and a range of emotions expressed in her songs about her homeland and its struggle for freedom as well as songs about love and hope.
Shahrzad's unique music and velvety voice will appeal to modern listeners looking for an international beat and sound that remains faithful to Persian melodies and rhythms. Her collaboration with established Jazz musician and producer, Farzin Farhadi, has produced songs that easily crossover between cultures by combining the freedom of expression in Jazz , with the deep emotional lyrics and melodies of Persian music.
