This program is an introduction to reading the Farsi language for children ages 8-13. The program’s goal is decoding and word recognition. Children will be instructed to match consonant and vowel sounds to appropriate letters and read simple one-syllable words. Storytelling and playing games are part of the program to improve comprehension and create a fun learning environment.
The program will run at least four Saturdays (Nov. 12, Nov. 19, Dec. 3, Dec. 10, 2011).
Some familiarity with Farsi is required to attend.
