Join us for a spring celebration of music with Persian-tuned pianist, Ramin Zoufonoun featuring his "Spring Suite" based on original compositions, arrangements of classical Persian songs about spring, as well cross-cultural pieces inspired by American Jazz and Iranian folk music, based on poetry by Rumi and Fereydun Moshiri. With musical guests Lynea Diaz-Hagan (vocals), Hossein Massoudi (vocals), Jamsheed Agahi (daf, tombak). Guest poet Sholeh Wolpe will read from her new collection, Forbidden: Poems from Iran and its Exiles (books available for purchase)
