Broadway Studios proudly presents Shahyar Ghanbari and Farzad Arjmand live in concert on November 4th at heart of San Francisco. We are pleased to welcome Shahyar Ghanbari back to Bay Area to perform with Farzad Arjmand and his fabulous Band at a historical events venue of San Francisco's North Beach district Originally constructed in 1919 as the famous "Garibaldi Hall" In the early 70′s, known as Mabuhay Gardens which hosted such famous musical acts as Dead Kennedys, Iggy Pop, Toy Dolls, Blondie, The Go-Go's, Devo, The Runaways, Metallica and many more. Robin Williams and Whoopi Goldberg also made early performances at the venue. In the 80′s, On Broadway Theater showcased a variety of productions including "La Cage" and "Evolution of the Blues".
Broadway Studios opened its doors in 1989 as a dance studio featuring Rock & Roll, Swing, Tango, Blues, Jazz and Disco. In 1997, HBO taped live specials with Dave Chappelle, Harland Wiliams, Jeff Garlin, George Lopez, etc. In 1999, Blues Express filmed their legendary blues musicians concert live from Broadway Studios. In 2001, "Swing the Movie" the feature film, was filmed here starring Jacqueline Bisset, Jonathan Winters and Barry Boswick as well as the late Neil Carter.
