ICARUS/RISE is a multimedia theatrical piece based on poetry featured in BELONGING: New Poetry by Iranians Around the World, connecting the myth of Icarus with the migration of Iranians, and the solitary journey of the artist/migrant in the quest for freedom. ICARUS/RISE is created, translated and performed by Niloufar Talebi, in collaboration with composer Bobak Salehi, and choreographer and video artist, Alex Ketley.
