Turaj Zaim, son of Iranian political prisoner Kourosh Zaim, is holding a hunger strike for human rights in Iran. The strike will be two weeks long, and takes place at San Francisco’s Civic Center from Tuesday, Sept. 8th until Tuesday Sept 22nd, when Turaj flies to New York to speak at a demonstration at the United Nations. The hunger strike is being held across from City Hall on Grove & Polk.
All are invited to join in meditation or fasting to call attention to ongoing abuses in Iran. There will be handouts about the rights we are demanding, and periodic vigils for those still imprisoned for their political beliefs.
