THE PACIFIC MOZART ENSEMBLE, directed by Lynne Morrow, sings a new composition for chorus by Omid Zoufonoun featuring members of the Shams Ensemble, Shahab Paranj (Tonbak, Daf) and Hamid-Reza Taghavi (Santur). The concert explores the realms of Heaven and Hell, and will also include the ethereal polyphony of Giovanni Palestrina offset by the intensely expressive madrigals of Carlo Gesualdo, displaying some of the most evocative music of the Renaissance.
