This is the story of a family from a small Assyrian village of Golpachin outside Urumieh in Iranian Azerbaijan. It follows their struggle through some dramatic periods of history. How they gained an education, started an engineering firm in Tehran becoming quite substantial and then had to emigrate to California after the revolution and start over. It is a story of family solidarity and of the immigrant. I feel that Western civilization owes much to the Assyrians and few know they still exist.
