Frida Kahlo once said she had been hit by two major things in her life: At 15 by Diego Rivera that left her with an everlasting passion for him, and at 18 by a train that left her with an everlasting longing to bear a child. Her art thus manifested both the passion and the longing at the same time.
Frida’s work will be on exhibit this summer at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). San Francisco made Frida famous by exhibiting her art and paying homage to her artistic talent.
Please join Ross on the evening of June 19th at the Museum Café to taste Diego’s favorite meal Frida used to cook, sip on Frida’s favorite wine and converse about Art, politics and everything else under the elegant SFMOA’s tall ceilings.
We will then visit the exhibit for a GUIDED intimate look at Frida’s hauntingly evocative paintings, her personal photo albums, and her revolutionary life…
