San Francisco Iranian Film Festival, which was established to discover and support the next generation of Iranian filmmakers, at its 5th annual edition [September 8 & 9] will present a wide variety of films made by or about Iranians from around world. The tribute this year is for Esfandiar Monfaredzadeh, Iranian composer who revolutionized the music in Iranian cinema by composing such memorable films as Dosh Akol [which will be shown], Gheisar, Reza Motoori.... who will fly from Sweden [where he lives] to attend the festival. A focus on Kurdish cinema is also highlighted. The students can use a special rate to attend the festival.
