Zoe Ghahremani will discuss and sign her book SKY OF RED POPPIES, a novel about culture, politics and the redeeming power of friendships. SORP is the story of two girls, the daughter of a prominent family and her religious, fiercely independent classmate, as they come of age in politically charged 1960’s Iran under the rule of the Shah. Together, they contend with becoming the women they want to be, and in doing so, make decisions that will cause their tragic undoing.
