One Book, One San Diego featured author Zoe Ghahremani and special guests Sonya Quintanilla, Ph.D., Curator of Asian Art at the San Diego Museum of Art, and poet and writer Aria Fani present an evening of modern and classical Persian poetry. From Ferdowsi and Omar Khayyám to Rumi and Hafez, Iran has contributed many greats to the annals of world poetry such that it is evident in almost every facet of Iranian life.
