Dr. Fakhrai will talk about “How to overcome immunosuppression in cancer”.
Dr. Fakhrai is the co-founder of NovaRx, Executive Vice Chairman of the Board, Chief Scientific Officer, and is the inventor of the Company's core technology. Dr. Fakhrai was the first in the world to recognize the importance of blocking immunosuppression in cancer vaccine therapy. He was also the lead scientist in treating a glioma patient for the first time in the world with immunogene therapy. He has held leadership positions in gene therapy research at the UCLA School of Medicine, and the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, among other leading centers. He is currently on the board of editors of Cancer Gene Therapy.
