Join us for a memorable night of live traditional Persian music with Jaanan Ensemble.
Jaanan Ensemble was founded in 2016 by a group of passionate and talented musicians drawing on the rich culture of Iran to play traditional and folk music from early 19th century Persia to the music of the modern day.
In this endeavor, Jaanan will bring Persian culture to the stage by playing different instruments from various regions of Iran, such as Tar, Ney, Setar, Tombak and Santour. Jaanan Ensemble will perform pieces popularized by renowned Iranian composers such as Darvish Khan, Parviz Yahaghi, Ali Tajvidi, and Rouhollah Khaleghi, as well as several popular folk songs.
Jaanan Ensemble are: Amir Mohammadi (Music director & Ney), Amir Aghayi (Vocals & Santoor), Zohre Taher & Farhad Shiri (Co-Vocals), Sorena Keihani (Tar), Avishan Bagheri (Setar), Saman Sepehri (Bamtar), Sina Solouksaran (Tombak), Ahmad Rasoulpour (Daf & Dayereh) and Roozbeh Gholizadeh (Manager).
Run time: 1 hour 45 minutes, including 15 minute intermission.
Recommended for ages 8 and up. No babes-in-arms. All patrons must have a ticket regardless of age.
