Since the June election, conducted under widespread allegations of voter fraud, Iran has been rocked by protests and rallies resulting in brutal crackdown and repression from the government. Currently, 16 defendants face execution and more than 3,000 activists are in detention where many are subjected to beatings, rape, and torture.

The Campaign has a network both inside and outside Iran, enabling Ms. Bakhtiar and the Campaign to collect and disseminate accurate information regarding human rights abuses in Iran.
Presented by UC Davis School of Law (King Hall), the King Hall Middle Eastern South Asian Law Students Association (MESALSA), California International Law Center (CILC), and Iranian American Bar Association (IABA)
