Nowruz symposium at the MAG
The program is built around the theme of mystical and spiritual Persian poetry, and metaphors related to creation, love, and nature in Iranian culture and its traditional celebrations.
The keynote speaker is going to be Fatemeh Keshavarz of Roshan Cultural Institute and Center on Iranian Studies at the UMD, and other speakers include Professor Homerine of University of Rochester, Professor Dunbar of RIT, and Professor Shahin Monshipor.
We will also have Samples of Live music and dance related to our topics of focus, curatorial tours, cultural displays, and much more.
The event is open to the public and there is a suggested donation of $5.00 for members and nonmembers.
