“Drawing the Wind” Persian Dance Workshop
Experience the delight and charm of Persian dance with Hannah Romanowsky! In this workshop dancers will learn an enchanting choreography with graceful hand flourishes, stylized
arms, and intricate turn and spiral patterns. Please bring dance slippers for turns.
Ms. Romanowsky is Founding Director of the DanceVersity multicultural youth arts education program and the Scheherazade School of Sacred Dance. She was a principal artist with Aywah! Ethnic Dance Company, Ballet Afsaneh, and Wan-Chao Dance. and has been a guest artist at museums and festivals throughout Asia, Europe, and North America.
Hannah was trained in Persian dance by Sharlyn Sawyer, director of the highly esteemed Ballet Afsaneh, and is a popular instructor and performing artist among the Iranian community of northern California.
