Persia House is pleased to invite you to YALDA EVE, WINTER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION, A Night with Renowned Persian Poets Hafez and Rumi to consult Persian poetic lines for guidance and remembering the bonds of friendship and a community of love and gratitude for life.
The program includes, but is not limited to, keynote speakers with a few words about Yalda Eve, Winter Solstice, and the Symbol of the Turquoise Bowl of Heaven, on-stage traditional vocal and instrumental melodies, recitation and reading selected from the Collected Works of Rumi and Hafiz, Divan-i Shams and Divan-i Hafiz, lines sung and spoken in English and Persian, a night with Rumi and Hafiz on screen, audience participation with personal reflections of views you can use, a superb chance to meet good friends and talented members of our community, and more.
Tea and cookies are provided. Feel free to bring your favorite seasonal food and snacks to share. Free Admission. All are welcome.
