As a special guest of the Philadelphia Persian cultural Society, Shabahang, on November 6, 2015 at 8 pm, Professor Reza Vali will be giving a presentation about his Concerto for Persian Flute (Ney) and Orchestra at Shabahang's monthly lecture series. Dr. Vali will introduce the Persian Ney and the techniques of playing it as one of the oldest existing instruments in the world and then speak about his composition process as well as play a recording of the work. A copy of the score will also be available for the interested members of the audience to follow.
