Dr. Misagh Parsa is a professor of Sociology at Dartmouth College. He has a PhD in Sociology from the University of Michigan. He is a macro-sociologist interested in studying large-scale social transformation, using the comparative/historical method and analysis. He has published works on the United States, Russia, Nicaragua, the Philippines, and Iran. His books include:
Social Origins of the Iranian Revolution, States, Ideologies, and Social Revolutions: A Comparative Study of Iran, Nicaragua, and the Philippines, and Democracy in Iran: Why It Failed and How It Might Succeed. There will be some copies of Dr. Parsa's book available for purchase.
